Daltron donates to Rotary Club of Boroko

Daltron has made a donation of 2 Laptops and 2 printers, to the Rotary Club of Boroko to assist in the fight against cervical cancer in PNG.

The donation was received by Mr Togaro Asiba, President of the Club and Mr Lionel Melville, the Treasurer.

Mr Melville said that the Club was raising funds towards making the vaccine for cervical cancer, free to all recipients. He said the Club aims to vaccinate 28, 000 girls in government schools in the NCD, between the ages of 9 – 13 years, at the beginning of the school year in 2017. This is a pilot project aimed at assessing it‘s success within in the NCD, with the objective to take it to other centres upon it’s successful completion.

Mr Melville said that this project has been made possible with the support of UNICEF and the Health Department.

President of the Rotary club of Boroko, Mr Togaro Asiba, said that the Club will be hosting a luncheon on the 1st of November and the donations from Daltron will be put on auction at the luncheon at the Stanley Hotel, to raise funds towards the cause.
